There are many different opinions on personal finance. My approach is to help you design a life that launches you towards the one you’ve always wanted.
Want to go on that trip to Italy for two weeks? Own a rock-climbing 4×4 to get to those vast views? Try a new restaurant every week? Awesome! We’ll figure out how to make that happen.
I don’t believe money is a tool that should be thought of with anxiety, scarcity, or fear. I believe money should be a tool that allows you to design your life. It is my role to be your guide for understanding your finances so you can prioritize those things that are most important to you.
Part of that process will be translating the gibberish of the financial world. I’ll be the Rosetta Stone for your money. If you don’t understand the poorly-worded (to put it lightly) world that your money exists in, it makes it more difficult to make informed decisions.
Knowing which of those informed decisions to make is equally as important. I’ll also guide you to understand where you should be focusing and when. Fretting over that latte may not be worth your will power (we only have so much). Narrowing your focus at the appropriate time allows you to save time and stress.
Financial Coaching is the education around mindsets, behaviors, and tools that allow you to navigate your daily life while also planning for long-term goals. Specifically, I work with you to align your finances with your priorities by shedding light on making the financial system work for you.
Financial Coaching is often the step before working with a financial advisor or is complementary to an advisor’s services. Advisors are typically specific to investing and retirement. Coaching applies to your whole financial life. You can find more detail about the differences here.
Whether it’s credit card debt, education on retirement, budget building or the many other areas we cover, it can feel like you don’t have the money to spend on coaching. You’re already feeling strapped which is why you’re looking for support in the first place. While it’d be a little irresponsible for anyone to guarantee specific results, I’m confident, based on my experience, the benefit you’ll receive over the course of our partnership will outweigh the cost. The empowerment to manage your money from the course will not only have an immediate impact, but will also stick with you for years to come.
“I tend to freeze in not knowing what to do with my finances and avoid dealing with it at all costs. Wade has completely opened my eyes to simple ways I can take action to grow and invest my money while educating me along the way. While the subject usually gives me angst, Wade comes with empathy, practicality, and a not-pushy insistence to be sure that I follow up on the actions we decided on in our meetings. I finally feel that I am moving in the right direction with my financial planning and feel more at peace with it than ever before!”
